Abstract

Language is a means of reflecting culture since any language constitutes national traditions, literature, history, economic relations.

Edward Sapir, one of the foremost American linguists and anthropologists of his time, points out that language is a guiding tool in the study of culture. When learning a language, it is important to know not only the words, language chunks and speech but also the culture, worldview, lifestyle and customs of the country of the target language. This, in turn, has led to the emergence of a new field in linguistics, namely, the evolution of linguocultural studies .
