Abstract

This article, as an example, examines the complex criteria used to assess the level of English language proficiency of students, in particular, the well-known Cambridge Assessment English tests. The study focuses on complex components that influence the assessment of students' language skills, including listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Cambridge Assessment compares the different levels of the English language system and sheds light on the nuances that make the difference between beginner, intermediate, and advanced learners.
